Foods for Stronger Erections with Herbal Mojo

Erection quality responds to what you eat and how you train more reliably than to anything sold in a capsule, and the food research is more specific than most people expect. This page covers the foods for stronger erections with published numbers behind them, what to avoid before an occasion, and how to get the most out of a dose of Herbal Mojo.

What foods are good for erections

Berries and citrus have the strongest evidence, and the effect size has been measured. A 2016 study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition followed 25,096 men from the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study over ten years, during which 35.6 per cent developed erectile dysfunction.

Men in the highest intake group for flavanones, flavones and anthocyanins had a 9 to 11 per cent lower incidence than those in the lowest. Total fruit intake was associated with a 14 per cent reduction, and citrus and blueberries specifically with 19 per cent at three portions a week.

The combination mattered more than either part. Men with high flavonoid intake who were also physically active had a 21 per cent lower risk than men low on both.

  • Anthocyanins. Blueberries, strawberries, cherries, blackberries and radishes.
  • Flavanones and flavones. Citrus fruits, plus parsley, thyme and celery.
  • Nitrate-rich vegetables. Leafy greens and beetroot, which the body converts along the nitric oxide pathway an erection depends on.
  • Oily fish, whole grains and vegetables generally, which is the same dietary pattern that protects arteries.

This is observational data from a food frequency questionnaire, so it shows association rather than cause, and the authors say intervention trials are still needed. The quantities involved are small, at a few portions a week.

What can you drink to get hard fast

Nothing, and the searches suggesting otherwise are selling something. The flavonoid effect above was measured over ten years of habitual intake, not over an evening, and beetroot juice works on the same slow timescale.

Anything that acts within an hour is doing so pharmacologically. Herbal Mojo is taken 30 to 40 minutes beforehand and effects are typically reported in that window, which is an absorption time rather than an instant effect.

How to get the most from a dose

An empty stomach is the single largest controllable factor. A large or high-fat meal shortly beforehand slows absorption, which is the most common reason a capsule seems not to have worked.

  • Take one or two capsules 30 to 40 minutes before sexual activity, and do not exceed the amount stated on the pack.
  • Take it on an empty stomach, with water.
  • It can be taken with alcohol, though a heavy session blunts arousal independently of anything taken.
  • Do not stack it with other performance supplements. Combining products makes any effect or side effect impossible to attribute.

What is in each capsule

Ingredient Amount What the cited research was
Eurycoma Longifolia (Tongkat Ali) 154 mg Randomised placebo-controlled trial, 109 men, 300 mg of root extract daily for 12 weeks. A later meta-analysis of two trials found no significant overall effect.
Saw Palmetto 24.5 mg The NIH position is that rigorous studies do not support it. Present for traditional use.
Xanthoparmelia Scabrosa 49 mg No published trial in men. Laboratory study on compounds isolated from the lichen.
Ginkgo Biloba 49 mg Open trial, no placebo group, 63 patients with antidepressant-induced sexual dysfunction.
Horny Goat Weed (Epimedium) 24.5 mg Isolated enzyme assay. Icariin inhibited PDE5 roughly eighty times more weakly than sildenafil.
Cnidium Monnieri 24.5 mg Laboratory study on isolated rabbit tissue.
Tribulus Terrestris 24.5 mg Randomised placebo-controlled trial, 180 men, 12 weeks. Testosterone was not a reported outcome.
Total 350 mg

Every human trial above used a daily dose well above the per-capsule amount. Full profiles are on the Herbal Ingredients page.

What works against you

Two habits do measurable vascular damage, and both act on the same nitric oxide pathway everything else here depends on.

  • Smoking. The main mechanism is disruption of nitric oxide signalling, with a dose relationship, and erectile quality improves after stopping.
  • Chronic heavy drinking. A single heavy session impairs arousal on the night, and long-term heavy use carries vascular and nerve risk.
  • Short sleep. Testosterone release is concentrated in deep sleep, and one week of five-hour nights lowered daytime testosterone by 10 to 15 per cent in a controlled study.

The research behind each of these is set out in the lifestyle habits guide.

Who should speak to a doctor first

Men taking nitrate based heart medication, blood thinners or any other prescription drug should speak to a doctor before use. Erectile difficulty that is new, worsening, or accompanied by chest pain, breathlessness or reduced exercise tolerance needs a medical assessment rather than a supplement.

No adverse effects have been reported to us by customers when Herbal Mojo is taken as directed. That is a record of what buyers have told us, not a safety trial. See the Medical Disclaimer.
